It is important to come to our office to get your body evaluated after a car crash regardless if you feel pain or not. It has been shown that even at speeds as low as 7mph your body can suffer significant damage. In fact, it is possible that if there is no damage to the car, your body suffers more because cars are designed to crumple and absorb the energy and protect you. During the car crash, your body is forced to move very quickly in a short period of time which can cause injuries such as:

Auto Injury evaluation

When you come into our office after a car crash, our primary goal is to determine what kind of injuries you have sustained. Usually in these situations, we will need to attain imagining so we can definitely see if there has been any injury to the tissues

During our evaluation we will be using:

  • Palpation
  • Posture Assessment
  • Gait Analysis
  • Neurological tests
  • Orthopedic tests
  • Digital MRIs (if necessary, will be ordered)

Auto injury treatment

Depending on the injuries, it will determine if we need to send you to another specialist to further evaluate injuries. Once we know what type of injuries have been sustained, we can start with care. This course of cause is comprised of some or all of the following:

  • Adjustments
  • Myofascial release
  • Corrective exercise
  • Laser therapy

During treatment we will determine how well your body is adapted to healing and monitor your progress. Since auto injury patients might sustain bigger injuries, it is important that we involve other specialists when needed. Every person is unique in this area which is why we tailor our programs specifically to each person. Our goal is to get you back to pre accident condition so you don’t have to worry about these injuries later in life.
